Fire Evacutaion Procedure
If you discover a fire
1. Operate the Fire Alarm immediately.
2. Attack the fire if possible with the equipment provided, but to not take any personal
risks. Leave immediately if the fire cannot be brought quickly under control.
On Hearing the Alarm
1. The GENERAL ALARM is a continuous sounding of the alarm.
2. Exit the building calmly, following any directions given to you by the Fire Wardens and
proceed to the assembly point as pre-determined for your company. (unless otherwise instructed
via the Public Address System)
USE THE NEAREST AVAILABLE EXIT.
DO NOT USE LIFTS (EXCEPT WHERE SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS EXIST FOR THE DISABLED).
DO NOT STOP TO COLLECT BELONGINGS.
DO NOT RE-ENTER THE BUILDING UNTIL ADVISED THAT IT IS SAFE TO DO SO.
Action to be Taken by Floor Fire Wardens
During Normal Office Hours
1. Ensure floor evacuation is complete.
2. If assistance is required for the evacuation of injured or disabled persons by
firemans lift, advise security via Level 2 reception.
3. Leave the building and report to your employers designated Fire Marshal at the
pre-determined assembly points:
4. Fire Marshals will report to security to ensure that all persons are evacuated and
accounted for.
Fire Marshal
Collate all Fire Deputy information/statistics and hand to the Building Management at Roll
Call Point as designated.
All personnel to remain at Assembly Point until advised otherwise by the Building
Management.
Please do not re-enter the building or depart from the area.
Please Note: Lifts in this Building will be set to descend to ground floor (Level 2) when
the fire alarm is set in operation.

Landlords Requirements of
Contractors
during Fitting out Works
All contractors must liase at all times with Building Management and comply with the agreed
programme and method of working. All contractors are required to adhere to items 1 to 16 below:
Contractors must have a contractors pass and must have it available for inspection at all
times.
All contractors must report to the Security and sign in to and out of the building.
There is no provision for contractor parking on site. Vehicles may be parked on site for a
maximum of 30 minutes for loading/unloading. The goods lift will prioritise works according to
building operational needs.
Access to contractors areas will be via the Service Bay and goods lift only.
Contractors are to use the goods lift only for goods and operatives.
Access to the building common parts including lift landings and toilets, plant rooms,
risers, etc, will only be available by prior agreement arranged with the Building Manager.
Where access is through common parts contractors are required to protect carpeting, wall and
ceiling surfaces from damage to the satisfaction of the Building Manager.
Hours of working and in particular noisy undertakings, are to be agreed with Building
Management in advance.
All waste is to be bagged, held in the Builders Area and removed from the site by the
tenants contractor on a daily basis. Contractor waste must not be placed in the landlords waste
compactor, skips or bins.
Service stairs are not to be used other than in the event of fire.
Incoming and outgoing goods must be taken directly to and from the goods lift area and may
not be left in any common area at any time.
The landlords building services including electricity, water, fire alarm, sprinkler system,
air-conditioning and the lifts, must not be interfered with except by prior agreement
arranged with the Building Manager a permit work system applies.
Any work likely to cause/interfere with the fire alarm detectors may only be carried out by
prior agreement arranged with the Building Manager under a special works permit.
Any damage resulting from contractors works is to be reported to the Building Manager
without delay on the day the damage occurs.
Smoking in the building is strictly prohibited.
Building Management reserves the right to refuse access to any contractors not observing the
building rules.
