Procedures

Please take a few moments to read the information contained in this guide. Please contact the Building Manager on 020 7489 1991 if you have any questions.

Visitors Pass

All visitors must report to the main reception on arrival and be signed in. Please ensure that you wear your visitor pass at all times within the building and return it to reception on your departure.
Car Parking

There are no car parking facilities at Senator House for visitors.
Disabled Access

Senator House is Wheelchair friendly. Disabled toilets are situated in the lift lobbies on all even numbered floors i.e. 0, 2, 4, & 6 within the building.
Toilets

Ladies and Gents toilets are situated within the lift lobbies on all floors within the building.
Smoking

Smoking is not permitted within the building including the atrium, reception and building entrances.
Telephones

There are no public telephones in the building for visitors to use.
Children

An adult must accompany children under 12 years of age.
Taxi

Black Cab Taxis are readily available on Queen Victoria Street.
Post Box

The nearest Royal Mail Post Box that will also take franked mail is situated 50 yards to the right of Senator House as you leave the building via the main entrance.

First Aid

There is a First Aid box on the main reception desk and in the Building Manager's office.

All the tenants have trained First Aid staff. The Senator House management team are also First Aid trained.

If you require a first aider please speak to your host, or contact the main reception desk on 020 7489 1991.

To call an ambulance

Dial 999 and State Clearly:

  • Your name and telephone number
  • The name of the casualty
  • Full details of the location of the casualty
  • The nature of the problem

And then:

  • Telephone the main reception on 020 7489 1991 and inform them an ambulance is attending.
  • Send a colleague to reception to meet the ambulance crew.

Fire Evacuation Procedure

If you discover a fire, please sound the alarm at the nearest call point and advise your host of your action.

The fire alarm will immediately sound.

On hearing the alarm

  • Leave the building immediately
  • Exit by the nearest emergency exit
  • Follow the emergency signs and/or your host
  • Do not stop to collect belongings
  • Do not use lifts
  • Do not re-enter until told to do so by your host or an authorised person

Fire alarms are tested every Tuesday afternoon at 1530hrs.

If you have mobility impairment or hearing difficulties, please advise your host on your arrival so that suitable arrangements can be made with local Fire Wardens to assist you in the event of an evacuation.

Senator House Environmental Policy

Your assistance in the correct disposal of waste is appreciated.

Please place:

All general waste in the external bins provided around the site.

The area allotted for people who wish to smoke is the loading bay area. Smokers are requested to ensure that they place their cigarette butts in the No Butts ashtrays situated outside the loading bay for them to use.

The building has a paper recycling system in place and Tenant's within the building have their own individual systems within their offices.
